I’m Siân , the creator and founder of Nailcraft. I’ve been an active nail artist for about 15 years give or take, so when I began the process of creating Nailcraft, I knew exactly what I was looking for.

A little about me - I’m a thirty-something 👀 from Glasgow, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. I grew up in a wee village called Old Kilpatrick, just on the western outskirts of Glasgow. It’s the most stunning, homely place (I might be a bit biased), though I don’t live there anymore - for all you nosy Normans out there!

I’m a total book and film addict and love anything Dark Fantasy, Horror, or Romantasy. I also have a huge interest in Paranormal investigation and Wicca, which probably explains why Nailcraft has such a witchy, mystical vibe woven through everything I do. ✨

I’m married to the ever-patient Mr Nailcraft, who puts up with my wild ideas and ambitions - but I’m so lucky to have someone so supportive, because without him, Nailcraft might never have come to life.

I’m also a big animal lover! I share my home with a German Shepherd named Jasper and two cats - Basil, a mischievous black-and-white tuxedo rascal who constantly screams for attention (and feigns starvation despite being the most spoiled beast in Scotland), and Bella, my full-black cat and ultimate soulmate. I rescued her 13 years ago as the runt of her litter - I was told she wouldn’t survive and to just keep her comfortable. Well, she’s still here, sleeping on my pillow every night and making biscuits in my hair … so I must’ve done something right!

When it comes to Nailcraft, it all started as a small idea back in the lockdown days. In early 2020, I launched a wee press-on nail business called “NAILCRAFT Press-Ons”  and honestly? It was a total flop, and I hated every minute of it! 😅 But that experience planted a seed that’s grown into what Nailcraft has become today and I couldn’t be more excited, proud … and scared if I’m being honest!  

My main priority with Nailcraft has always been to stay true to myself and to create products that I would use in my studio, and to use my experience as a current active Nail Tech to my advantage while building this brand from the ground up.

Even the branding, products, and shade names are carefully chosen and inspired by the things I love - you’ll notice plenty of references to my favourite films, books, and characters. Each shade and product even has its own wee story, so make sure to read those as you browse the site. ✨

I’m constantly working on new creations and refining existing ones, so you may notice evolving formulas or updated packaging as the brand grows. Nailcraft is a work in progress, built with passion from my own wee nail studio - and right now, it’s very much a one-woman show… but that’s all part of the fun!
